🏡 Home Quoting
These are the default assumptions and rules our AI agent follows when completing a home insurance quote, especially when some customer information is missing or incomplete. This ensures consistency and accuracy across all carriers we work with.
Policy & Residence Information
Effective Date:
- If current policy expires within 4 months, we use that expiration date.
- If it expires later than 4 months out, we use a start date 30 days from today.
Years at Residence:
- If unknown, we assume customer has lived ata current address for more than 3 years.
Home Purchase Date:
- If unavailable, we assume the home was purchased 5 years ago.
Dwelling Type & Occupancy:
- If not specified, we assume the home is "Owner Occupied – Primary."
Mailing Address:
- We assume the mailing address is the same as the home address.
🏠 Property & Roof Information
Roof Shape:
- Assumed to be "Gable, Moderate Pitch" if unknown.
Hail Resistance:
- Assumed to be “No” if not provided.
Roof Replacement Year:
- If unknown and the home is over 15 years old, we assume the roof was replaced 10 years ago.
- If unknown and the home is less than 15 years old, we assume no roof replacement.
Fire Sprinkler:
- Always assumed “No.”
🧾 Insurance History & Mortgage
Current Property Insurance:
- We always assume customer currently has coverage.
- If the carrier is unknown or not listed, we select “Other Standard” or “Carrier Not Listed Above.”
Years of Continuous Property Insurance:
- If not available, we assume 5 years.
Cancellations/Non-Renewals:
- If not specified, we assume no cancellations or non-renewals in the past 5 years.
Loss/Claims History:
- If not provided, we assume zero claims.
Mortgage/Financial Interest:
- Always assumed to exist.
- We assume one mortgage only and fill out all required mortgage details.
- No additional financial interests are assumed unless explicitly provided.
Trampolines & Animals:
- If not specified, we assume no trampoline or livestock on property.
📋 Coverages
Coverage Matching:
- We try to match customer’s current coverage limits and deductibles as closely as possible.
- If an exact match isn’t available, we choose the closest higher option.
Coverage A (Dwelling):
- If pre-filled by the carrier quoting system, we leave it unchanged.
- If empty, we use the system’s replacement cost tool with default inputs.
Coverage B, C, D (Structures, Personal Property, Loss of Use):
- Not modified if already filled by the carrier.
Liability, Medical Payments, Deductibles:
- If data exists in your current policy, we use it.
- If not, we select commonly used default or conservative options.
🚗 Auto Quoting
These are the standardized assumptions and procedures our AI agent follows when generating auto insurance quotes. These rules ensure we provide accurate and consistent quotes even when certain data is missing or not explicitly provided.
📅 Policy & Address Information
Effective Date:
- If the customer’s current auto policy expires within 4 months, that expiration date is used.
- If it expires beyond 4 months, the effective date is set to 30 days from today.
Garage Address:
- If unknown, it is assumed to be the same as the customer’s mailing address.
Years at Residence:
- If missing or listed as 0, assume the customer has lived at their current address for more than 3 years.
Co-Applicant:
- Unless explicitly stated, “No” is selected for co-applicant. Drivers are handled separately.
👤 Driver Information
Driver List:
- All drivers present in the customer record are included.
- If any expected drivers are missing from the quote form, they are added manually.
License Status & Details:
- License status is assumed to be Active.
- License numbers are entered if available in the customer record.
Age First Licensed:
- If not provided, assumed to be 16 years old.
Education Level:
- If unspecified, assumed to be Bachelor’s degree.
Telematics Program:
- Unless specifically indicated in the customer’s existing policy, “No” is selected.
⚠️ Violations & Claims
Claims/Violations:
- If available in the customer record, they are entered as-is.
- If not, all incident-related questions are answered as “No.”
- For unknown violation details:
- Violation type = Non-Chargeable
- “Resulted in Bodily Injury or Death” = No
- “Incident Dispute” = No
Comprehensive Losses:
- Hail, fire, theft, vandalism, towing, and other “other-than-collision” claims are entered in the comprehensive section and not listed under violations.
🚘 Vehicle Information
Vehicle Handling:
- If vehicles are pre-listed in the carrier system:
- Only existing vehicles are reviewed and updated.
- No additional vehicles are added, even if listed in the customer record.
- If no vehicles are present:
- All vehicles from the customer record are added manually.
Default Vehicle Assumptions (if not provided):
- Purchase Date: 3 years prior to today's date.
- Ownership Status: “Own”
- Annual Mileage: 12,000 miles
- Other Vehicle Fields:
- Rented/leased: No
- 14k–16k farm/residence use: No
- Camper unit: No
- Suspension indicator: No
- Vehicle Coverages:
- Coverage values are matched to the customer’s current policy where possible.
- Pre-filled values are left unchanged unless customer record specifies a replacement.
📋 Coverages
- Policy-Level Coverages:
- Matched to the customer’s existing coverage if known.
- If no data is available, pre-filled values are used.
- First Accident Forgiveness is selected only if clearly indicated in the customer record.
🧾 Underwriting Assumptions
Residential Property Ownership:
- If unknown, assume “No.”
Company Car:
- If unknown, assume “No.”
Prior Auto Insurance:
- If the customer’s previous carrier is known, it is selected.
- If Years with Prior Auto Carrier is unknown, assume 2 years.
Go Paperless Option:
- Selected as “Yes,” unless specified otherwise.
