Creating your first playbook

A playbook defines your agency's renewal workflow. Before your producers can begin working cases, you need at least one published playbook. This article walks you through creating one from scratch.

Before you begin

You must have the Manager or Agency Owner role to create and publish playbooks.

Tip: ReFocus provides a default playbook based on a standard nine-stage renewal workflow. If you want to start from that template rather than building from scratch, see Adding and configuring stages.

Steps

  1. From the left navigation, select Settings.
  2. On Settings main page, select Playbook Settings in the Renewal Hub section.

  1. Select New playbook. If you want to begin from the ReFocus default template, select Use a ReFocus template instead.
  2. Enter a name for the playbook. Choose a name that makes it clear which accounts this playbook applies to, for example Personal Lines Standard or VIP Commercial.
  3. Enter an optional description.
  4. Select Create.

The playbook editor opens. Your new playbook is saved as a draft and is not yet active. You can now add stages and steps before publishing.

Next steps

  • Add stages to your playbook. See Adding and configuring stages.
  • Add steps to each stage. See Adding steps to a stage.
  • Publish your playbook when it is ready. See Publishing and managing playbooks.
