Setting Up Safeco in ReFocus

Guide agencies in correctly setting up Safeco credentials so ReFocus AI can execute accurate remarketing and renewal workflows.

Overview

To activate Safeco quoting via ReFocus AI, your agency must complete a one-time credential configuration. This involves sharing your designated ReFocus login credentials for Safeco and providing the exact questions and answers for two Safeco security prompts. Safeco uses this information to validate automated quote activity; if it is not on file, Safeco will block automated quote requests for security purposes.

This process typically takes 2–3 minutes to complete.


Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

1. Log in to Safeco

  1. Navigate to the Safeco portal.

  2. Log in using your agency’s Safeco credentials.


2. Update Contact Information for API/Third-Party Use

Safeco requires that third-party quoting systems—including ReFocus AI—be associated with verified agency contact details.

Please update the following fields:

  • Name: ReFocus AI

  • Email Address: [Insert your ReFocus integration email]

  • Phone Number: [Insert dedicated ReFocus phone number]

If your team has a customized ReFocus integration email or phone number, add those here. Otherwise, use the defaults provided by your onboarding specialist.


3. Set Up Two Required Security Questions

Safeco requires two security questions to be configured. These questions and answers must be provided to ReFocus exactly as entered so they can be used as needed for password resets.

Steps:

  1. Go to Account SettingsSecurity Settings.

  2. Locate the section for Security Questions.

  3. Select and answer two security questions of your choice.


4. Send Your Answers to the ReFocus AI Team

Once the two security questions are configured:

✔ Copy the Security Question #1 and its exact answer
✔ Copy the Security Question #2 and its exact answer

Send both to:
📧 support@refocusai.com (or your onboarding specialist)

⚠️ Important: The answers must match exactly, including capitalization and spacing. If there is any difference, Safeco will reject automated requests.


5. Confirmation

Once your information is received, the ReFocus AI team will:

  • Validate the Safeco credentials

  • Map the answers to your agency’s Safeco configuration

  • Test automated quoting

  • Notify you when Safeco is fully active in your portal

Most validations are completed within 24–48 hours.
